Department of Education and Training
The Commonwealth Department of Education and Training provides leadership and coordination across government, delivering programs and policies, to support student mobility and the global exchange of knowledge. The department works with the education sector, other government agencies and ministries to ensure Australia is recognised as a regional and world leader in education and a partner of choice for international collaboration. The Department's office in Malaysia is managed by the Counsellor (Education and Science) located within the Australian High Commission.
Australia Awards Scholarships and Fellowships
The Australia Awards Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships provide an internationally competitive program for international citizens from eligible countries to undertake study, research and professional development in Australia. New Colombo Plan
The New Colombo Plan is a signature initiative of the Australian Government led by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. The Department of Education and Training is responsible for administering elements of the Plan including scholarships and student mobility grants. The New Colombo Plan aims to lift knowledge of the Asia Pacific in Australia and strengthen our people-to-people and institutional relationships, through study and internships undertaken by Australian undergraduate students in the region.

The Malaysia Australia Alumni Council (MACC) Scholarships provide Malaysian and Australian students the opportunity to experience diverse cultures and new lifestyle through sponsored education.
Malaysian Public Services Department (JPA) recognition of Australian qualifications
The Malaysian Public Service Department (Jabatan Perkhidmatan Awam or JPA) recognises Australian qualifications in arts, social sciences and general science programs subject to the following criteria:
• Recognition for undergraduate program that ran on fulltime basis at a particular university
• Recognition does not involve undergraduate degree that ran as double degree or multidiscipline degree.
• Professional programs/qualifications are subject to evaluations of the relevant professional bodies in Malaysia.
• Recognised Program/courses listed on the CRICOS website.
