Department of Education and Training
The Commonwealth Department of Education and Training provides leadership and coordination across government, delivering programs and policies, to support student mobility and the global exchange of knowledge. The department works with the education sector, other government agencies and ministries to ensure Australia is recognised as a regional and world leader in education and a partner of choice for international collaboration. The Department's office in Malaysia is managed by the Counsellor (Education and Science) located within the Australian High Commission.
New Colombo Plan
The New Colombo Plan is a signature initiative of the Australian Government led by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. The Department of Education and Training is responsible for administering elements of the Plan including scholarships and student mobility grants. The New Colombo Plan aims to lift knowledge of the Asia Pacific in Australia and strengthen our people-to-people and institutional relationships, through study and internships undertaken by Australian undergraduate students in the region.
Endeavour Leadership Program
The Endeavour Leadership Program provides an internationally competitive program for Australians to undertake study, research and professional development in eligible countries Scholarships and Fellowships are also available for citizens from eligible countries to undertake study, research and professional development in Australia.
