Assistance in Malaysia
The Australian Trade Commission (Austrade) is the Australian Government agency that helps Australian companies win overseas business for their products and services. We offer practical advice, market intelligence and ongoing support (including financial) to Australian businesses looking to develop international markets. We also provide advice and guidance on overseas investment and joint venture opportunities in countries such as Malaysia. Austrade’s staff in Kuala Lumpur have a detailed understanding of business in both Malaysia and Australia. Our staff are well positioned to help match the needs of Malaysian buyers with Australia’s supply capabilities.
For Malaysian Businesses, Austrade can:
Provide buyers with up-to-date advice on Australia\'s supply capabilities across a wide range of products, services and technologies
Match buyers with Australian suppliers. Buyers are asked to provide some key data about their company and their needs so that the best possible connections with potential Australian suppliers can be made using Austrade’s extensive electronic data-base of export ready companies
Assist Malaysian companies who may be seeking to represent or establish strategic alliances with Australian suppliers in Malaysia.
Our Australian Suppliers Database has large numbers of potential Australian suppliers.

Other trade information
The AAC was launched by the Australian Government in September 2015 to promote Australia’s interests in South-East Asia by initiating and supporting activities designed to enhance awareness, understanding and links between people and institutions of Australia and the ten ASEAN member states, including Malaysia. The AAC’s activities include a combination of longer term strategic programs, exchanges, and activities generated by the annual grants rounds.
The AAC provides grants to selected projects which aim to promote Australia's interests in South-East Asia through activities to enhance awareness, understanding and links between people and institutions. Funding is awarded through a competitive selection process. Application forms, funding guidelines and further information about the ACC’s programs are available on the Australia-ASEAN Council website.
