Temporary Position: Researcher
The Australian High Commission is seeking a suitable person to undertake a short-term assignment (2 months) researching and updating a database of Malaysian alumni of Australian education institutions (Alumni).
Duties of Position:
• Review existing databases/spreadsheets of Alumni.
• Research additional Alumni and verify/update contact details and other information of Alumni.
• Prepare appropriate records of research outcomes.
• Prepare a report on the project detailing processes and outcomes.
Selection Criteria:
• Well-developed research and analytical skills.
• Proven highly effective communication skills, written and oral, in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Demonstrated initiative, adaptability and flexibility including an ability to work under pressure and respond to challenges.
• Effective interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritise and organise workloads, allocate resources and meet deadlines without close supervision.
• Manage work in conformance with Work Health and Safety principles.
• Good knowledge of the internet and well-developed computer skills (Microsoft Office).
Conditions
Salary per hour is RM28.53 (37.50 hours per week, Monday to Friday).
The position will be on a temporary basis. Part-time hours will be considered.
