Australia Day 2014 reception - expected to rock!
The Australian High Commission in Kuala Lumpur will be hosting a reception on the evening of Wednesday 22 January to celebrate Australia Day, ahead of the official date on 26 January.
The invite-only Australia Day reception will host Malaysian guests from a range of sectors including government, politics, business, education, arts, defence, security, as well as the diplomatic corps and members of the Australian community residing in Malaysia.
The theme for the event is Australia Rocks! and will highlight popular aspects of Australia. The reception will also showcase the best produce that Australia has to offer, with guests treated to choice Australian seafood, meat, cheese and wine.
Acting High Commissioner Jane Duke commented that “the event is an opportunity for us to celebrate all that Australia is famous for, including our strong representation in the arts sector and our delicious food and wine”.
